Your weekly source for all things Green in Brooklyn
Your Weekly Newsletter 11/3/2022
Do you have your week mapped out?  If not, we have a list of wonderful and free greentastic events for your consideration. Go stargazing, take a hike among the gorgeous fall foliage, and learn birding in Marine Park and Prospect Park.
Take the kiddos for nature education activities while school is out on Election Day. They can design and build their own terra cotta planters and wildflower seed bombs, and discover autumn fruits and seeds in our urban parks. Check out Cub Scouts Lucky Pack 7 for your elementary schoolers and Troop 1G(irls)  and Troop 26 (Boys) for your middle schoolers and high schoolers. What are these scouts doing this weekend? The cub scouts are going to a bowling party and the older scouts are going to an exciting series of presentations by bona-fide explorers from the world famous Explorers Club. What fun!
Our outdoor spaces need your love. Roll up your sleeves to weed, mulch and beautify our parks, community gardens and cityscapes: Bushwick Inlet Park, Marine Park, and Paidge Avenue. Learn about bylaws for your garden group to oversee decision-making and governance. Keep fast fashion out of landfills by mending and upcycling, and score treasures at a swap. Get informed and engaged by attending a BQE Visioning Workshop, the CB1 monthly meeting, and a press conference by NBCB Boathouse
